Description:

The first issue of Book III goes where no other Robotech comic has gone before, a "Mature Readers" issue. Although the mature readers label was used, it was very tame in nature as only very slight nudity, sexual content and violence shown. The issue was otherwise, page-for-page, the same story.
The "book" marked the end of the line for one publisher, Eternity Comics, once they passed up renewal of the Robotech comic license. It also marked the beginning of a long run of comics from Academy Comics who was formerly known as Acid Rain Studios but changed the name once they became a mostly Robotech oriented comic publisher.
Book III's tone started to become more serious and dark as each issue went along. The continued battles against the Invid began to take the lives of some characters as Edwards took his power-hungry ways to the next level while he was becoming involved in a love triangle of sorts with Minmei and Johnathan Wolff.
